Lib-Dem MP calls for funding review

While visiting PSP Group’s Edenmore nursing home in Ilfracombe, Devon, Liberal Democrat MP Nick Harvey called on the Government to radically review the NHS and the provision of funding for long term care. “At the moment there is a ping pong game between Health and Social Services which serves only to frustrate the efforts of quality providers such as PSP Group and leave many of my constituents without the funding that they are rightly entitled to,” said Mr Harvey. Also present at the reception were Lady Mayoress of Ilfracombe Lynda Courtnadge who is a regular visitor to the home and always enjoys meeting and talking to the residents and staff. “Edenmore has always had a fantastic reputation as a provider of care in the local community and this evening proves that the quality of food is also first rate and would compare well with any local restaurant,” said Mrs Courtnadge.
