Local men find new career in care

When companies like JCB, Creda and Wedgewood cut back their workforces, some of their former employees found a fascinating and fulfilling new career with a major national company opening up to them.

Care UK was recruiting for staff in the area and, in less than one week, the company’s Stoke branch received calls from more than 75 people who wanted to find out more. One of the surprising facts was the number of men who had expressed an interest – more than a third.
