Luxor can be used by the whole family

A range of accessible baths that is said to allow the user to bathe in comfort and dignity while still offering the advantages of conventional baths, and can be used by the whole family, was launched at the Independent Living Show by N&C Phlexicare. The Luxor bath has both a motorised seat belt, which gently and evenly lowers the user right to the bottom of the bath. It also includes an inward opening walk-in side door with an easy open and close mechanism. The Luxor can be used as a walk-in shower if teamed with a shower system and curtain. “Hot and cold water touch controls are conveniently placed so the user does not have to reach to access them,” says N&C Phlexicare. “The twin wastes, which again are within easy reach, are designed with chains and plugs and allow the bath to empty more quickly than a pop-up waste. “Made from fibreglass and reinforced with timber, the Luxor can be filled more deeply than most baths and is available with an optional hydrotherapy system for added luxury.
