Mallaband’s major expansion

Maria Mallaband Nursing Homes Ltd has acquired five more UK-based care businesses, meaning that the company has seen an increase in turnover of around 90 per cent in the past 12 months. These latest acquisitions have led to a further broadening of the company’s overall care offering portfolio, as it branches into the autism and learning difficulty care sectors. Advised on each of the deals by Nicole Joynson (Corporate Finance) and John McLauchlan (Commercial Property) of law firm Freeth Cartwright, the Leeds based company has acquired Lincolnshire based Autism Care (UK) Ltd, Burgess Care Ltd in Leamington Spa, Wadebridge based Windmill Court Nursing & Residential Home, Bowerfield House Ltd in Stockport and finally Three Rivers Healthcare Ltd in South Wales. Bowerfield House and Windmill Court provide residential care to elderly and physically disabled service users.
