TOPSS England says that, following the success of its new care staff portfolio, Your Induction to Work in Social Care, it has teamed up with specialist recruitment publishers CareandHealth to produce the companion volume for managers of new care staff. The First Sir Months – a registered manager’s guide to induction and foundation standards in social care shows care managers how to bring their new staff through the training that is set to become a legal requirement under new government regulations. The title refers to the fact that induction and foundation training has to be completed by all new care staff in the first six months of their appointment, including care assistants in homes, home helps, day centre and child care workers, and social workers. The training has to meet induction and foundation standards issued by TOPSS England. TOPSS England chief executive Andrea Rowe said registered managers guided by The First Six Months, would have the official TOPSS England line on what needs to be covered by ind
