Mark a finalist in Craft Guild Awards

Mark Hartley, Colten Care’s head chef at the Brookview care home in Ferndown, Dorset, reached this year’s final of The Craft Guild of Chefs Awards. Having previously won the _Caring Times_ National Care Awards ‘Care Chef of the Year’ in 2004, Mark is one of three short-listed in the Cost Sector Chef Award category for chefs working in hospitals, care homes, education and military establishments. Mark finished a highly commendable runner-up in the Cost Sector category for chefs working in hospitals, care homes, education and military establishments. Commenting on Mark’s achievement, the company’s hotel services manager, Fergus Davitt, said Mark was not only a fine chef with excellent culinary skills but highly reliable and very caring towards all of the residents at Colten Care.
