Acting on behalf of Colin and Janet Fotheringham, the Edinburgh Office of specialist healthcare agents, Christie + Co has sold two care homes in Nairn to Inverness based operator, Meallmore Lodge Ltd. St Olaf Manor, designed to meet the specific care needs of clients with degenerative diseases, opened in December 2003 and was a finalist in the special award category of this year¹s Healthcare Design Awards. Providing 36 beds in a five-star hotel environment, the facility includes a fully licensed restaurant which is open to the public and brings the community into the very heart of the care centre. St Olaf nursing home is registered for 49 residents and again has won a national design award in 1998 for the best extension to an existing building. The sale price of the two homes was not disclosed.
