Mercer moves to Meridian from Unilever

North West-based Meridian Healthcare has appointed Lorraine Mercer as human resources manager. Ms Mercer¹s new role means she is responsible for human resources operations of Meridian, ensuring that the company continues to meet national care standards requirements while challenging and setting new human resource strategies for the group. “I am joining at an exciting time and look forward to helping make Meridian an even greater success,” said Ms Mercer. “Meridian provides the opportunity to take the best challenges associated with the healthcare industry. I am joining a strong team, with an excellent care centre portfolio, at a time of significant potential growth.” Ms Mercer most recently served as human resources operations manager at Unilever. She initiated and led a culture change programme and was involved in the roll-out of a new performance development planning system for the workforce.
