MHA acquires second nursing home

Methodist Homes, part of MHA Care Group, has taken over a nursing home in Northamptonshire as part of a strategic plan to diversify its services. The purchase of Rushden Park nursing home in Rushden by MHA Care Group represents a new direction for the organisation, which, it says, is keen to expand its range of services to meet the changing demands of social care. MHA Care Group regional director for the south east Steve Reynolds described Rushden Park as a relatively new nursing home with ample potential to provide high standards of care to older people with nursing needs. “MHA Care Group is renowned for its person-centred approach ­ we continually strive to avoid our care becoming institutionalised,” Mr Reynolds said. “It is only the second nursing home to come into our portfolio, and we are confident that this area of care will complement our existing work and enable us to broaden our range of services. “We have been delighted with the positive response from residents, relatives and staff to the purchase,
