Mimosa buys ten homes from Regency

Harrogate-based property agent’s GLP have negotiated the sale of ten care homes to Nottingham-based Mimosa Healthcare Group in a deal with Regency Healthcare Group which took just eight weeks to exchange of contracts. The homes, spread across northern England, are all 100% purpose-built premises comprising about 450 beds in total. GLP managing director Simon Gilbert said he was pleased that his company had been able to achieve a successful and speedy transaction, one of the fastest yet in what has already been a very busy year for the company. “The interest shown by rapidly expanding corporate operators such as Mimosa Healthcare demonstrates the underlying strength of the care home market in this country, particularly coming hard on the heels of the recent sale of five homes by GLP to Helen McArdle Care,” Mr Gilbert said. “This suggests that, certainly in terms of the quality end of the market, initiatives such as National Required Standards and Fit for the Future are having little effect, with buyers readily
