Mimosa expands its specialist provision

Mimosa Healthcare is on target to become one of the UK’s biggest providers of alcohol dependence rehabilitation services following the purchase of a further treatment centre in the Gloucester area. The company has also acquired the freeholds of two properties leased in North Yorkshire and Somerset with funding from Bank of Scotland Corporate’s specialist healthcare team in the intermediary commercial finance department. The funding was also used to enable the original founder and owner to buy out venture capital shareholders. Based in Nottingham, Mimosa currently operates from 31 sites throughout England which provide a mix of specialist nursing and residential care, dementia care, as well as rehabilitation services for adults suffering from alcohol addiction. Mimosa chief executive Anthony Massouras said the acquired properties would allow his company to further develop its alcohol dependency services for which it was currently getting more than 10 referrals a week. “The quality of care, comfort and h
