Mimosa looks to Howard for support

Mimosa Healthcare has appointed of Nick Howard to the position of area support manager. Mr Howard, an RMN with experience of managing care homes and independent hospitals, will work closely with managers in the West Midlands and Lancashire area, assisting them on a one-to-one basis and helping them to maintain optimum standards of care for their residents. Mr Howard’s area of speciality is younger adults with mental health problems and challenging behaviour. More recently he has been involved in supporting care homes that for various reasons have been in a process of change. Prior to his nursing career, Mr Howard was involved in training and the management of hotels, and he sees a lot of similarities between the two industries. “Quality care for the customer is of equal importance in both hotels and care homes,” Mr Howard said. “Presentation and attention to detail are the key elements of a successful care home.”
