Minivator leaves room on the stairs

Dolphin Stairlifts has introduced the Minivator 1000, which is specially designed for straight staircases. Made in the UK, the Minivator is said to fit almost any staircase, folding away when not in use to leave the staircase clear, with a slim rail designed to be stylish and practical and maximise room on the staircase for other users. The Minivator¹s swivel seat, operated by a push-down and pull-up release lever, makes getting on and off the lift easier, and a new arm design fits comfortably into the palm of the hand and is angled to support the user when sitting down or standing up. Safety features include specially designed obstruction sensors on the footplate and main carriage, which stop the lift immediately on contact with any object. The lift is fitted with top and bottom limit switches, thermal overload and armrest safety switches, a swivel chair cut off switch and manual lowering mechanism. The Minivator is available in a wide range of seat colours and optional extras. These include a stand or perc
