A £4m contract to provide homecare services on behalf of Harrow Council has been won by the British Nursing Association (BNA), a subsidiary of Nestor Healthcare plc. BNA was one of seven providers shortlisted for the five year contract to provide 4,000 hours of care per week to 1,500 services users. Harrow¹s 298 homecare staff will be transferred under the terms of the agreement, retaining existing levels of pay and pension rights. Harrow estimates the outsourcing will save the council about £500,000 a year.
