New shower floor from Contour

Specialist UK shower tray and enclosure manufacturer Contour Showers has launched the new ShowerDec which, it says, makes bathrooms accessible to all. Contour says ShowerDec allows the bathroom to be user friendly, with a sloping top surface that enables the room be used as a complete wet area. “The product completely removes the inconvenience of having to create falls in the floor to allow water to run away,” says sales director Chris Madden. “As Contour ShowerDec is concealed under the floor covering, there is no need to have a wheelchair ramp. “It can be easily and quickly installed on both wooden and solid floors and, as it is a solid core product, it can be trimmed to size, screwed or fixed in any position to ensure a secure fit.” Contour ShowerDec is manufactured using a filled resin system between two glass laminates, which are press moulded to eliminate the risk of de-lamination. The heavy duty resin cast is said to take weights of up to 40 stones and is tough, so that no extra support or battens are
