Not sent to Coventry

Coventry City Council will close three of its care homes homes following a four week consultation period. Eighty residents will have to move out of Parkview in Holbrooks, Aldermoor Lodge in Stoke Aldermoor, and Belgrave Lodge in Wyken. When the plans were unveiled in January, residents had expressed concern over the standard of care in their new homes, but director of social services and housing John Bolton said that following discussions, almost half have the residents had said they would be happy to move to new homes.
