All the nurses at Barchester Healthcare homes across the country received a special Nurses’ Day card that thanked and recognised the special support nurses and care staff give to make a real difference to the lives of those they care for.

Queens Court care home, in Wimbledon, came together to celebrate Nurses’ Day and General Manager, Shaaron Caratella, took the opportunity to reward the important work and dedication of the nurses that work at the home.

Shaaron Caratella, General Manager at the home, said: “At Queens Court we aim to recruit and develop nurses who are passionate about caring for older people.  We are also committed to encouraging newly qualified nurses with their leadership and clinical skills, which can often be invaluable in a career with increasing responsibilities and workload.”

Barchester Healthcare recently announced the appointment of Professor Trish Morris-Thompson to the newly created role of Director of Quality and Clinical Governance. Trish is highly qualified, with more than 30 years’ experience working in the NHS and is looking forward to working with the care teams across the company.
