Operators may be missing out on big tax refunds

Owners and operators who have made significant investment in their property may be entitled to tax relief. Barry Laurie says that a skilled accountant has the potential to enable a care home business claim significant sums from the Inland Revenue. Care home operators are still ignoring the large tax savings they are due and are still paying far more tax than they need to – often by tens of thousands of pounds. Why? Because they are still not getting the right tax advice when they buy, build or extend their property. Though they may be able to look after their clients’ day to day accountancy needs, most accountants simply do not have the skills to give their clients the necessary advice for this type of transaction.
