Orchard in £175m buyout

Orchard Care Homes has undergone a management buyout led by Paul Mancey, in a deal which has seen the exit of the controlling shareholder Lawrence Tomlinson.

Set up by Mr Tomlinson, Orchard (which includes Tri-Care Ltd), has been operating since 1984. In recent years a major development programme has seen the estate grow to the present total 978 beds across 26 homes. Homes currently under construction will result in a group of 56 homes totalling 2272 beds across the north of England.
