Overseas recruitment

Recruitment of both nurses and carers is a continuing problem for most care home operators and, while many have turned to overseas recruitment, other providers have held back from going down this route. A seminar on overseas recruitment, sponsored by Hallmark Healthcare and organised by Caring Times, was held at CareExpo to explore the issues and procedures associated with recruiting nurses and senior carers from overseas. Senior recruitment personnel from a range of providers, from big corporates to small groups, gave accounts of their experience. A detailed report on this seminar will feature in a future issue.
