Profit boost for Christie’s

Surveyors, valuers and agents Christie & Co increased pre-tax profits by 34% to £2.13 million in the last nine months of last year. The company’s turnover during the period was £24.5 million. Managing director David Rugg said Christie & Co’s healthcare division had benefited from the continuing expansion of corporate operators, driving forward the top end of the market. Mr Rugg said his company had also benefited from a spate of privatisations of local authority care establishments.
