Providers can request a review of quality ratings

Following a joint statement of concern issued by five representative bodies ,the Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI) has said it will provide a means for providers to haver imput into reviews of quality ratings made by inspectors.

The care home associations, ECCA, FSB, NCA, NCF and RNHA, said the review process needed to be seen to be fair and that independent scrutiny outside of the CSCI would give the review process this fairness and add to the credibility and robustness of the rating system for all concerned.
