Rapid expansion for regional operator

One of the fastest expanding care home companies in the East of England has announced the purchase of two further homes in the region. Colchester-based Healthcare Homes has increased its number of properties after buying one in Wroxham, Norfolk and the other in Beccles, Suffolk. The news follows the firm’s recent purchase of Abbott Healthcare, comprising four care homes totalling about 160 beds. Overbury House in Wroxham is a 50-bed home providing nursing and residential care exclusively for elderly people with mental illness. The White House is in Beccles and offers care to 33 frail and elderly residents together with a day care service for up to 10 guests. Healthcare Homes was launched less than a year ago and has its headquarters in Langham near Colchester. Its senior team are all much experienced in the running of care homes and includes Richard Clough, Graham Lomer and David Bates.
