RBS funds a busy Lifestyle

Life Style Care has opened of a new 62-bed care home in Essex. The Fountains care home in Rainham is the latest of several new developments by the company which will bring its portfolio of care homes to more than 30 by 2007 – providing more than 2,500 places. The company’s growth strategy is being funded by a £150 million facility provided by The Royal Bank of Scotland. The Fountains Care Centre will open in July and will be registered to care for 62 people aged over 55 who have dementia, frail elderly people or people who are physically frail. Discussions are currently ongoing with the local authority and Primary Care Trust over possible block contract arrangements. Life Style Care chief executive Ramesh Sachdev said the opening of the Fountains came at an exciting stage of the company’s strategic development. “Life Style Care is in the middle of a period of very dynamic growth,” said Mr Sachdev. “Unlike the majority of care home operators in recent years, we believe our path of developing new facilities an
