RCC relaunches as Christie First

RCC, the business mortgages, commercial insurance and life and pensions company, was relaunched as Christie First on 6th September 2001. The new company name emphasises the business¹s close association with its sister company, Christie & Co, a leading firm of surveyors, valuers and business agents. Christie First managing director Patrick Ryan said the rationale for the change was to enable the former RCC to benefit from the significant market share Christie & Co has in its key market sectors ­ hotels, restaurants, pubs, leisure businesses, care homes and retail. “We know from our research that the Christie & Co brand enjoys considerable recognition in its chosen markets and that the company is well respected for its substantial experience and the skills of its agents, surveyors and valuers,” Mr Ryan said. “When we tell people we are a sister company to Christie & Co, the scales fall from their eyes. As a result, we believe that Christie First will be able to capitalise on that strong brand recognition to i
