Renowned mezzo-soprano performs at Royal Star & Garter music club

The Royal Star & Garter residents’ music club had a special treat when Irish mezzo-soprano Ann Murray DBE came to the Richmond Home to perform for them.

The Royal Star & Garter residents’ music club had a special treat when Irish mezzo-soprano Ann Murray DBE came to the Richmond Home to perform for them. Between operatic engagements at the Vienna State Opera House and the Metropolitan Opera in New York, she visited the care home to give the charity’s disabled ex-Service residents a recital of songs by Purcell, Brahms, and Poulenc, two Irish traditional folk songs, and pieces from much-loved musicals in which she duetted with her accompanist, Tim Ardern.
