Retirement housing on the net

Housing advice charity, the Eldrly Accommodation Council (EAC), has made its database of social housing available on the internet. The database, which contains detailed information on 24,000 developments across the UK, is the result of an eight-year research programme. The website – www.HousingCare.org – enables searches for housing developments by location or postcode. The landlord or manager of each development is published and, by this summer, EAC plans to add up-to-the-minute information about vacancies, as well as photographs of developments.
