R&RA welcomes care home staff

The Relatives and Residents Association (R&RA) is keen to make care home owners and managers aware that the association can offer help, through its advice line, to professional carers and individual care homes, and that professionals, groups and care homes can become members of the association. R&RA acting chief executive Sue Adams said about 15 per cent of calls to the association¹s helpline came from care home staff and managers. “We like to hear from staff,” Mrs Adams said. “We are there primarily to support residents and their relatives. If staff find they are having to support relatives there is a time cost and we may be able to help.” – For more information about the support provided by the R&RA, write to R&RA Advice Line, Relatives and Residents Association, 5 Tavistock Place, London WC1H 9SN, enclosing a 9×6 SAE (31p) or tel 020 7916 6055,
