Second UK Dementia Congress set for Harrogate in November

All those with an interest in dementia will be pleased to learn that the 2nd Dementia Congress has been announced as taking place on the 5-7th November 2007 at the Harrogate International Centre. The first UK Dementia Congress, sponsored by Barchester Healthcare and organised by Caring Times’ sister publication, the Journal of Dementia Care, took place in Bournemouth in November 2006 and was a huge success, attracting almost 600 delegates over the three days. “Our concept’,” said Dr Richard Hawkins, editor-in-chief of the Journal, “was to establish a single event where all the various UK professionals who work with people with dementia could come together once a year certain that they would be learning about all the most recent dementia developments, as well as meeting with a broad spectrum of other professionals also keen to be at the cutting edge.
