Sector achievers honoured

The five awards making up the third annual TCB/ Pinders Healthcare Design Awards were presented at a special event in London on March 5. For the third consecutive year Pinders and This Caring Business held the annual ceremony, highlighting excellence within the Care Home Sector. The winners were: Best new development (elderly care): Willow Court of Hertfordshire, owned by Quantum Care. Special award: Coxbench Hall of Derby, owned by Mr & Mrs Ballin. Best new development (specialist care): Abingdon Manor care centre of Belfast, owned by the Wilson group. Best extension to an existing home: The Lodge & Café Olaf of Nairn, owned by St Olaf Care Services. Best assisted living project: Richmond Care Village of Cheshire, owned by Richmond Village Ltd. Entries will shortly be invited for the Healthcare Design Awards 2003.
