Setting the agenda on healthcare

Older people are setting the agenda on healthcare according to Help the Aged who says that older people are demanding that their priorities for their future health are heard. Health and Older People (HOPe), a national group of older people supported by Help the Aged has come up with a report setting out the values it believes should underpin all health and care services for older people. Our Future Health, published last month, highlights the fact that the largest group of users of the National Health Service is older people but the NHS is not geared to meet their needs.
