Shrewsbury HQ for Coverage care

Coverage Care (Shropshire) Ltd, which runs nine residential care homes for the elderly in Shropshire and employs 450 staff, has moved to larger headquarters. Greater autonomy resulting from a change in its operating structure has meant that the Shropshire arm of Coverage Care has outgrown its premises at Hook-a-Gate on the outskirts of Shrewsbury. The new base, at Collins House on the Oxon Business Park in Shrewsbury, accommodates the growth of Coverage Care (Shropshire) which is now responsible for all the services previously provided by the parent company in Gloucestershire. Managing director lan Driscoll said the restructuring reinforced Coverage Care (Shropshire) as a Shropshire-based company providing local services for local people. “We believe having all the support services delivered from Shropshire is the best way forward for the company,” Mr Driscoll said. “We now have a turnover of £6 million and are the major provider of care services across the county with 400 residential care beds. “We are very
