Software will aid inspection

A management software system developed by a Cwmbran-based company, QA Plus, is now being used by Gwent Health Authority for the registration and inspection of nursing homes in the area. The new system, known as QA+ALIS, will assist the authority in its inspection of nursing homes in Gwent, which involves reference checks of staff employed in homes and inspection visits. QA Plus managing director Chris Davis said the software system would cut risk and reduce paperwork. “It streamlines the processes that staff have to go through and it will enable the inspection unit to continue its drive towards better quality homes and safety for senior citizens in Gwent,” Mr Davis said. “The use of our systems is increasing throughout the UK because we are providing solutions to complex requirements, not least is the elimination of risk. “Our software systems do not allow the user to move on in a registration or inspection process until all checks have been completed.
