South West care homes feel ‘under threat’

Most South West care-home owners (66%) suspect that their occupancy levels and fee rates are under threat and more than a third (37%) of the region’s care-home owners have seen their profits decline in the past year.

Most care-home owners in the region (69%) are receiving less than â£400 per week from the public sector for full residential care with only 13% charging less than â£400 per week for self-funding private residents.
