Southern Cross Healthcare Group has apologised for an administrative error which saw the company continue to claim from Aberdeen City Council for 14 residents, eight months after they died. The company has now repaid £60,000 back to the council.

“As soon as this unfortunate error was brought to our attention we initiated a thorough and robust review of all accountancy practices,” a Southern Cross spokesman told local media.
