Southern Cross trial makes use of Montessori methods

Major provider Southern Cross Healthcare is pioneering the use of Montessori principles for enhancing the lives of residents with dementia.

In the last 10 years Dr Cameron Camp, a US based clinical psychologist, has developed a programme of research and procedures which aims to draw on Montessorian principles by engaging with the retained abilities of people with dementia to improve their quality of life.
