Veronica Harris, 17, of Blackburn, has just completed a Level One Health and Social Care course and has been presented with a certificate of achievement for ‘Student of the Year’ by Blackburn College’s Care, Health and Public Services faculty. The course allowed Veronica to study at Blackburn College and spend one day a week on placement at Aaron House Care Home in Blackburn.

‘I’m so pleased to have been awarded for something I love – I couldn’t imagine doing anything else,’ said Veronica.
