Viking launches new high-spin extractor

Viking Laundry Equipment has launched its new 8kg high-spin, free-standing washer extractor, the HS5008. This is the first machine in a complete new range which Viking says has been specifically designed to provide all the benefits of simple user-friendly controls, minimal water consumption and incorporating a Type A air gap, making it suitable for connection directly to the water mains. “Viking is now entering a very exciting period,” said director David Olliver. “There are many in-built features included in this new 5000 series that will benefit our customers. For example, there is an exceptionally large door access with a full, 180-degree door opening, making it easy to load and unload laundry. There are eight pre-set programmes designed for care home use which cater for varing wash types and temperatures ­ each adjustable for individual needs if required.” Mr Olliver said the HS5008 had been designed to fit in the space where an existing top-loading washer had been. “However, unlike a top-loading machine
