A sturdy new presence in the Hardy landscape

|Colten Care has established itself as a quality provider and operator of purpose-built care homes. Caring Times editor Geoff Hodgson visited one of the latest additions to the company¹s portfolio| Given that Colten Care¹s newest nursing home is built on land which forms part of the Duchy of Cornwall¹s estate, and given Prince Charles¹ keen interest in architecture, it is no surprise that Castle View spent two years in the design stage. The 57-bed dual registered home is situated on the newly developed Poundbury Estate on the outskirts of Dorchester. It is the 11th purpose-built home to be added to Colten Care¹s portfolio, nine of them in Dorset and two in Hampshire. The new town of Poundbury is an initiative of the Duchy of Cornwall and has achieved international renown through its approach to urban design and architectural solutions.
