Acute role for Spurling at Craegmoor

Specialist care provider Craegmoor Healthcare has appointed Julian Spurling as managing director of the company’s independent hospitals division (IHD), adding to his existing responsibilities as group marketing and development director, a position he has held since December 2004. Craegmoor says that, since joining Craegmoor, Mr Spurling has championed the voice of the customer and, through his approach to marketing, has successfully defined each care facility as a unique business within its local market. In his role as managing director of IHD, Mr Spurling will continue to develop the successful division which is central to Craegmoor’s aim of providing individual care and support packages to adults with a range of complex needs. One of the projects in which Mr Spurling plays a key role in driving is the £3.5m redevelopment of Ty Gwyn – a 24 bed independent hospital in South Wales. Once complete, this development will be able to offer rehabilitation for adults with a severe mental illness within expande
