Anstead named as top entrepreneur

Former Four Seasons Health Care chief executive Hamilton Anstead has been named Consumer Services Entrepreneur of the Year in the Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year Awards. The judges were impressed by Mr Anstead’s depth of thought about the social demographic issue his business addresses, the excellent reputation he has developed and his strategic vision, coupled with an eye for detail. All the North region award recipients, who were selected from 42 finalists, will go through to the national final in October, from which the Overall UK Entrepreneur of the Year will go forward to the World Entrepreneur of the Year Awards in Monte Carlo in the spring of 2006. The Entrepreneur of the Year awards now take place in 35 countries around the world with nearly 10,000 entrepreneurs competing at regional, national and international level. The awards and are in their seventh year in the UK where the programme is co-sponsored by The Times, Coutts, and The London Stock Exchange.
