Craegmoor Healthcare, the UK’s fifth biggest provider of private care homes, has appointed Adrian Ashurst as regional manager for its specialist care division, covering the South West and South Midlands region. Craegmoor’s specialist care division provides services to people with diverse needs, including young physically disabled people and those with learning disabilities, neurological disorders, forensic psychiatry and challenging behaviour, as well as children’s services and enduring mental health care. Mr Ashurst held a number of senior management positions within the NHS before entering general management in the independent sector in the early 1990s. After spending five years developing a multi-disciplinary team specialising in brain injury rehabilitation for adults and children, he became the regional manager of a newly formed specialist health care company based in the south of England.
