Award for Sunrise home

Scurr + Partners Architects and Sunrise Senior Living have won the ‘Best Assisted Living Development’ award in The Daily Telegraph/Your New Home Awards for their care home in Cardiff.

When presenting the award, the judges said the main factor in the category was to find a development where the residents received extra care without limiting their sense of independence.

“Every Sunrise development has a separate secure area devoted to the special needs of seniors who are experiencing memory loss through Alzheimer’s disease or other conditions,” the judges said.

“While many projects provide comfort and security, Sunrise of Cardiff, with its emphasis on helping residents in need of additional support was the obvious winner.”

Scurr + Partners Architects have worked with Sunrise Senior Living on a number of assisted living developments for the last 10 years.
