Bain: listen to older people¹s views

Age Concern¹s national development manager Chris Bain was the keynote speaker at the Institute for Health Research¹s sixth annual research conference on the health of older people, held at the University of Bradford¹s School of Management. During his speech, Mr Bain addressed the strategic issues in service planning and delivery, particularly around leadership, and emphasised the need to listen to older people¹s views if services are to meet needs. More than 100 people attended the event which is held to strengthen links between research and practice. These included academics and health professionals and managers from primary, community and secondary sectors of health and social care.
