Barchester is master of apprenticeships

Barchester Healthcare’s commitment to providing apprenticeships has been highlighted in recently released figures which show completion rates for its schemes are significantly higher than the national average.

The numbers show 81.8% of Barchester apprentices completed their course in 2008/09, compared to a national average of 65.7%. Barchester says it focuses heavily on training to ensure that its staff can consistently provide the standard of care which has seen it receive the highest average Care Quality Commission (CQC) ratings of the major care provider
