Baroness Young resigns as chair of Care Quality Commission

Dec. 5: Care Quality Commission (CQC) chairman Baroness Young is to leave her post in February. No reasons were given for Baroness Young’s departure.

‘Having overseen the major task of creating a single regulator for health and social care and pointed it in the right direction, I have decided that it will be for others to take it forward,’ said the Baroness.
