Bettercaring website earns its spurs

Bettercaring, an internet directory of care homes, says it has proved itself as the leading website in the care homes industry. The company says that in January, the website recorded more than 34,000 unique visitors, with more than 10 million hits and more than 355,000 pages viewed. According to¹s chief executive Eric Stevenson, at least half of care home related searches carried out on the internet led to “In January we received more than 21,000 visits via search engines,” Mr Stevenson said. “It is clear that the internet is now firmly established as a critical research channel for those seeking care home places, and its importance continues to grow.” Mr Stevenson said the attraction of the website was its database of all the registered care homes of five beds or more in the UK. “Two pages of information on each home are available and the site is easily searchable for free,” he said. “We are experiencing an increasing flow of enquiries and bookings into care homes
