A raid by UK Border Agency officers on  a Hampshire nursing home has resulted in nine illegal immigrants working at the home being deported.
In addition 33 of the residents of the Linford Park nursing home in Poulner, Ringwood, have been moved by Hampshire County Council to new accommodation. Four members of staff were also arrested on suspicion of neglect.
The immigrants deported were from the Philippines, Ghana and Malawi. Employers who are found not to have made the correct checks  when employing foreign workers are liable to fines of up to £10,000  per person with a maximum of £40,000.
