Call for papers at national conference on old age

Health and social care professionals and academics concerned with ageing issues are invited to submit proposals for papers or posters for a major conference this autumn. The British Society of Gerontology will debate “Old Age in a New Age” at its annual conference in Oxford on September 8-10, 2000. The conference, organised by Oxford Brookes University School of Health Care, will be at the central Oxford location of Keble College. New research to be published at this major national conference will tackle topics such as quality of life for older people, intergenerational care, dementia primary care, ageing in Europe and communication through technology. Keynote speakers will include Professor Sir John Grimley Evans and Professor Jaber Gubrium, both well known for their controversial views on ageing issues.
