Care Forum Wales takes its message to the people

It¹s time to call for a fair price for care ­ that¹s the message being given by Care Forum Wales (CFW) in a campaign launched in late March to raise awareness of what CFW describes as the £100m under funding of the Welsh care sector. The campaign began with the unveiling of two huge billboard poster sites on Bute Square in Cardiff showing the words ŒCARE LESS¹ and ŒHOME LESS¹ and asking the general public to lobby local councillors and assembly members over the under funding issue. The bill boards will be backed up with a leaflet drop across Wales urging care home-owners, employees and relatives of loved-ones in care to take action by bringing the item to the top of the health care agenda in their locality. The bill boards and literature were a build-up to the main event of the campaign ­ a demonstration outside the Welsh Assembly Government building on March 26, which coincided with a health and social care committee meeting.
